Skiing / Snowboarding
The Lost Trail Powder Mountain Program is not a part of the Bitterroot Homeschool Athletic Association, but is open to Bitterroot Valley and Missoula area homeschoolers. Skiers must be 7 years old, and snowboarders must be 9 years old to participate. The Snow Sports School runs January through March.
Program Costs include lift ticket, mandatory lesson, and equipment rental (if needed). Each homeschool family may purchase up to two chaperone lift tickets per day at a reduced price.
RESERVATION & PAYMENT INFORMATION
Please sign up for all the days you plan to attend prior to the deadline. This program should be viewed as a course of study. By signing up as a part of the Snow Sports School, you are making a commitment to attend. Unless there is an illness, last minute changes will not receive a refund.
The rental office opens at 9:00 a.m. To avoid the potential of long lines and wait times, it is recommended that you get in line by 8:45 a.m. Please note that a parent must sign the rental equipment agreement form for each student each ski day.
Lift Ticket Pick-Up
On the program day, lift tickets will be available for pick-up in the ski lodge at the "Home School" table between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Lessons begin anywhere from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will not be assigned until the morning of each program day. Students are allowed to ski before and after their lessons, but they need to keep track of time so they do not miss their lesson. Students who skip their lesson may lose their discounted rates and may no longer be eligible to participate in the program.
